Breaking News: Jammeh Recalls J.T. Kujabie From Washington,DC Consulate

Breaking News: Jammeh Gov’t. Recalls J.T. Kujabie

- Declares Ousman Taal, Wanted Person

By EBRIMA G. SANKAREH, Editor-In-Chief

Unimpeachable sources nestled within the corridors of state power say the autocratic government of President Yahya Jammeh has recalled its Washington, DC Cultural Attaché, Ebrima J.T. Kujabie. Says a highly reputable source, “President Jammeh wants J.T. to return to Banjul immediately, although no specific reasons were advanced for his recall”. “If Kujabie has not yet received his letter of recall yet, be rest assured that he would receive it in the next 24 hours” our source stated emphatically. Asked what could have led to this latest twist at Washington’s ill-fated Embassy, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson who begged strict confidentiality, argues that while it is subject to conjecture, it is more probable that his recall has more to do with recent revelations in the online media particularly, Kujabie’s assignment to inspect a consignment of buses that was allegedly marked new when in actuality, all the buses were refurbished. Ironically, says our source, it was the same Ebrima J. T. Kujabie who was sent to Washington barely a year ago with much hoopla that he could galvanize support for the dictatorship and rally dissidents and other Gambians behind Yahya Jammeh’s utterly despicable regime.

Until his assignment to Washington, the quasi-baked diplomatic hand was an intelligence operative (for lack of a better phrase) masquerading as a reporter with the Gambian Daily Observer from where he was moved to The Gambia Ports Authority and subsequently named Manager of its Ferry’s Department before he was catapulted to the most coveted position of Press Director at State House. With ethnicity being his only qualification, Ebrima J.T. Kujabie an empty barrel by every stretch of the imagination, was brought to Washington to join a cadre of square pegs in round holes doing what they do best, lying and fighting each other and today, predictably, he too has been shown the exit door by the monstrous dictator that micro-manages every facet of Gambian society.

In a related twist, our State House operative Kissy Kissy Mansa has revealed that, the Jammeh government has intensified its efforts to get Ousman Taal by all means possible. It can be recalled that Taal was recalled about two months ago following a lamentable he said-she said tale among Lamin Sabi Sanyang, Ebrima J. T. Kujabie and Tall himself. Predictably, as the only non-Jola speaking official, Ousman Tall was allegedly victimized by Jammeh and asked to return to The Gambia where our unassailable sources say; he was headed to Mile II Prisons. Says Kissy, “Taal’s only impunity is distance but if he chooses to defy physics and return to The Gambia, he too will disappear or be subjected to cruel and inhumane treatments like numerous others before him.” Asked what Taal’s precise problems with the regime might be, our source said, “Sanyang and Kujabie had sent fictitious emails to Banjul alleging among other things that Ousman Taal was feasting with folks who are at war with the tyrant, an unforgivable act of treason in Jammeh’s Gambia. According our State House sources, the same method was used by Lamin Sabi Sanyang and a former intelligence officer who successfully blackmailed erstwhile Ambassador Essa Bokar Sey. In Sey’s case, the actors were allegedly much more craftier in their machinations against the former emissary. Their mischaracterizations to Jammeh appeared highly compelling when in actuality; everything was fabricated to elbow Sey and in the end, they succeeded.
