Gambian letter writer accuses President Jammeh of terrorism

Mr Editor,

 Please spare me some space to contribute to the debate about rescuing our beloved Gambia from the current murderous-bandit who falsely prides about calling himself, President, in the person of Yaya Jammeh.With current events unfolding, I would say;

Sub-regional Terrorism:

The recent developments of rebels’ resurgence in Cassamance are quite disturbing. As it would be difficult to make the MFDC rebels to lay down arms and adhere to any peace accords when they have a sponsor and collaboration outside. It's an open secret that MFDC rebels have a sponsor in Yaya Jammeh. Everybody would remember Alexandra Gibba, MFDC spokesman was lodged by Yaya at expense of Gambian tax payers at Fajara. When Alexandra wanted to switch allegiance in a peace deal with Abdoulaye Wade, Yaya accused him of terrorism and had him murdered in the same replica as Charles Taylor had Sam Bukary, the Mosquito killed. Taylor did so to distort his involvement in the Sierra Leone civil war so as to escape any prosecution, whilst Yaya did so for his direct involvement in Cassamance rebellion. Yaya always goes underground into hiding when Wade is aggressive. This is why he has Kanilai and surrounding villages like Alla-kunda, etc, fenced and mined by Iranian mercenaries thus depriving those villagers from their legitimate farmlands. Once Wade became friendly as in his last visit to Gambia, Yaya signals rebels to wreak havoc on innocent civilians in Cassamance to imply that he has nothing to do with it and then go about his hypocritical mediations without commitment with only lies and deceit involved. His only motive being, because he prides himself as redeemer for the liberation of his Jola tribes in both countries. This is why he mobilises some low-thinking Jolas like himself including those stuffed in this useless government for his rotten agenda. There are Jolas as patriotic as anyone of us for it is not all Jolas who are out to destroy The Gambia and Senegal including Cassamance, for that matter. Yaya dumped arms and ammunition in Kanilai area and set military training programmes for the Green Boys and girls for attacks on other tribes when things come that. He also had Baba Jobe imprisoned on false allegations as he was implicated in the UN Blood-diamonds-arms deal in the Sierra Leone conflict involving Baba and the New Millennium Air Lines which belonged to Yaya Jammeh. All know of his ominous engagements in Guinea Bissau as well.

El-Faisal Transit:

In recent issues about transiting a Jamaican born terrorist through Gambia, there are indications of truth in the Kenyan minister's announcement due to the reaction of the so-called Gambian authorities because the Gambian ‘Authority-in-chief’ is the greatest liar on this planet. Yaya Jammeh associates with terrorists in middle-east presently active in Gambia and the sub-region. He must have offered transit to El- Faisal to please his Jihadists collaborators and had a rude awakening when it became an international issue as Nigeria refused to facilitate his transit to Gambia. Gambians know what a liar Yaya Jammeh is and are used to his damn fabrications to save his face. It is not the image of Gambia he is concerned with in this denial but for saving his image from international degradation. If he at all cares about Gambia's image, he would have given a second thought when he was contacted for the transit. For mark the Kenyan minister's words that '.... Gambia AGREED to facilitate El-Faisal's transit....' and they would not have said so or even attempt to deport him through ‘innocent’ Gambia if they have no evidence of consent from our Kanilai-bandit. Why would he not sue the Kenyan minister to court to clear our name? I challenge Yaya Jammeh to do so if he has not given his word before.

Domestic Terrorism:

In Gambia these days one cannot name Yaya Jammeh openly in public without giving an explanation to please his ears. His recent involvement in taxi-cab business is purely to spy on the unsuspecting population with the drivers on the taxis his ears. Now a list of all travellers’ information from abroad to Gambia are sent to Gambia some two weeks before, according to a senior security operative, for his murderous agents to comb the list for targets of perceived enemies. Not to mention his late mad-witch screening when he alleged that witches are after his throne! And then comes the arrests and detentions, disappearances, murders and liquidations.

Idol Worshipping and Sacrifices:

All Gambians and international community should know that Yaya Jammeh is no man of faith as he parades about. He only pretends to deceive as majority of Gambians are Muslims so as to keep himself in power. He worships idols in Kanilai and surrounding to keep him in power as long as he can. The numbers of items mentioned in the recent charity he gave at Touba Magal points to indications that it was given out under directives for a purpose as there is no benevolence in the person of Yaya Jammeh. It was to counter whosoever will strike to kill him as he is now pushed to a corner and had his back to the wall. But what he does not know is the idols he worships and the soothsayers (future tellers) who asked him to give out this charity are all objects and mortal beings. God Almighty is the only one in control. We have witnessed the likes of Mobutu, Nino Vieira, Mathew Kereru, etc, who were as idolatrous if not more than Yaya but have come to pass. So let him gives out the ill-gotten money he has taken from government coffers or yet from the drugs he transits through our sub-region. Surely, this won't save him from being …like the pig he actually is.

Recent Cabinet reshuffle:

It has just been reported that Yaya has yet got rid of some of his rotten associates. They deserved it for “if you like Akara, expect a strong burning pepper in your mouth” the saying goes. I only wonder what lies he fabricates as Agricultural minister, to the farmers whose yearly groundnut harvests were credit-bought, without a penny given to them whilst he prides like a philanthropist donating $1,000,000.00 of these poor Gambians’ money to the Haiti disaster relief. That was a tragedy for any decent person to use for self portraying for international recognition. He also retains Works and Construction Ministry for what? Yaya takes lots of loans in the name of the Gambian people as the economy is wretched. He gives out construction contracts without any legal tender for genuine bidding and asks for kick-backs from those awarded the contracts. According to the Finance minister’s last budget speech, the past budget was D61, 000, 000.00 (sixty-one million Dalasi) over-spent with Yaya paying himself a cool $500,000.00 per Diem on a single trip to Nigeria.

To The Gambian Soldiers:

I say it is now becoming clear that those of you surrounding Yaya Jammeh are beginning to realise that you were indeed mistaken to help him cling to power this long. It is time you all realise that he will sacrifice all of you one after the other. So act now as Yaya is nobody's friend. He gets rid of you as soon as he sees it necessary for his own survival. For Lang Tombong, it was his lack of wisdom which landed him in his fate today as there were days when it should have all been over if not for his opportunistic disposition and also due to the fact that he has contributed to the plights of past victims. For one lies in his bed as he makes it. And so will Yaya Jammeh himself in the not-too-distant-future.

To The Gambian Opposition:

I say it is disheartening to see you tear into each other's flesh for pure selfishness. Why can you not see that the people, including yourselves matter here and get rid of your individual tendencies and pull together for Gambia's sake to rid us of Yaya Jammeh? Only then can all of us be free to have a fresh start where all genuine persons can form or join their desired political affiliations and contest for political office if one wishes. Truth is, none of you (us) can do without the other. Yaya is the problem, do away with your differences and get rid of him at all cost.

 To Gambians:

I say as determined as we are in the struggle against the Kanilai-butcher, we will succeed and have the last laugh as we have suffered so much. Ninety-nine days for this idiot, a decent day for the oppressed. What Yaya doesn't foresee is he plans with his evil intensions whilst Allah counter plans for his eminent demise. And surely, Allah the All-knowing is in the innocent population's favour. Insha Allah
