SENEGAL AND THE GAMBIA- A SLEEPING TIME BOMB

Dear Mr. Editor:

Did you know that the entire MFDC military leadership except Cesaer Attut Badiatte (leader of the Southern Front Forces of the MFDC) is in the custody of Yahya Jammeh.  Those currently in custody include Ismaila Mange Diéme (Northern Front Leader) who together with Badiatte flushed out Salif Sadio with the aid of Guinea-Bissau's  army, Alexanda Djiba one-time spokesperson of the MFDC and resident at the Atlantic Hotel until he was expelled at the insistence of the Senegalese, Kamogé Diatta who was released earlier from Gambian prisons only to be returned to The Gambia where he was nabbed recently. Finally Abdoulaye Diehdiou who went to negotiate for the release of Ismaila Magne Diéme a diabetic only to disappear.  His whereabouts are unknown as at now.

Salif Sadio, according to the Senegalese, is presently in Kanilai despite denials by Jammeh when he was confronted by not one but two emmissaries of President Abdoulaye Wade in the last week alone.
President Wade and Jammeh discuss the tense situation
First the Head of the Armed Forces General Abdoulaye Fall followed by Justice Minister Cheick Tejan Sy.  They both want facts and not fiction from Jammeh regarding Sadio, Diéme, Diatta and Diéhdiou.  As a result of the highly volatile situation in the Kanilai border with Casamance, military activities on the Senegalese side of the border have been heightened to prevent Salif Sadio being smuggled in to re-occupy his former Cassamance base.

I must advise that your paper monitor the Senegalese press to get a complete picture of how The Gambia is being led down the dangerous road of occupation by Senegal thanks to an illiterate President Jammeh
